Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING By Nola Kupfer Christmas was celebrated by the Seidals and their husbands last week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Romberger. The gaily decorated Hotel El Escal-ante Escal-ante was the scene for the holiday holi-day dinner and dance. Dining with their partners and guests the Lions were greeted by President Presi-dent Howard Wood and master of ceremonies Forrest Hunter and entertained by Prof. Blaine Johnson John-son and Mrs. Leo Cahoon who offered of-fered vocal solo and zylophone numbers, respectively. The Blue Notes played for the evening of dancing which completed the special social function. Visiting over Christmas W.th Mr. and Mrs. Le Ray McAllister were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Ms Allister of Delta. Santa arrived at the Vern Kupfer Kup-fer home early Christmas Lve to get the last wishes of the children Jotted down only to find the house brimming over with the gay notes of children. On hand for his arrival were Mr. and Mrs. Tom Challls and five children, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Osborne Os-borne and four children, Mr. and Mrs. Max Weaver and their four youngsters, and equally excited were the five lltle Kupfers. Prior to his arrival the families had enjoyed a buffet luncheon, visiting visit-ing and games. Later children heard the story of Christmas and opened the package left by Santa. San-ta. Then with the wish of Merry Christmas on all Hpa the little ones hurried home to hang up their stockings. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Heap happily hap-pily anticipated Christmas and the days which have followed for their entire family arrived home to enjoy the time together. Coming Com-ing from Callforia were Luana Rae Heap and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Don-ald Hokansen and daughter Cindy. Cin-dy. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Heap and baby son of Bountiful also arrived on Christmas Eve laden with gifts to be slipped under the tree. Famllv visiting and fun have filled the days and the holidays holi-days together have been most enjoyable. Entertaining at dinner on Sunday Sun-day evening were Mr. and Mrs. Van Bushnell. They Invited Mr. and Mrs. Ted Jolley who are visiting visit-ing In Cedar for the holidays, and Mr. find Mrs. Robert Skinner to Join them for the evening. Following Fol-lowing the delightful dinner hour, the group enjoyed reminiscing reminis-cing former good times and visiting vis-iting together. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Dover had their son Boyd home from school for the holidays. Also as guests they enjoyed having Miss Dee Ann Peterson and her mother, Mrs. Josephine Peterson of Mt Fleasant Following the activities ac-tivities of Christmas Day the group traveled to Las Vegas where they enjoyed a few days of sightseeing and fun. Enjoying their grandchildren and a visit with their daughter and son-ln la'N', the Van Espllns, were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Winget of Koosharem. Arriving on Christmas eve the couple remained re-mained until Sunday when they returned to their home. Home from their studies at the University of Oklahoma are Bob and Ronald, sons of Lt Col. and Mrs, Claude Thompson of this city. Mrs. David Melville and daughter Joined Capt. Melville as he returned to Fort Sill where he Is attending a special school. After a pleasant Christmas at home, the family departed for a three-month stay in the Oklahoma Okla-homa city. Happy Birthday greetings resounded re-sounded as the friends of Mr. Harold Thompson arrived at the Thompson home for an evening planned by his wife for the occasion. oc-casion. Burningham. as they arlved to spend a few days of the holidays with their family. Taking leave from her duties as airlines hostess to join the family group was Mrs. Lunf s sister. Miss Dixie Burningham of Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Gras were happy to have Mr. Gras parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Gras. with them for the festivities of Christmas Christ-mas Eve and Christmas Day. Also Joining the family for dinner din-ner and Christmas day visiting were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Evans and family of this city. Christmas Eve brought the Sam Bowsers to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ward Robb to enjoy sama: arnv.i wim them. The Christmas snow proved to be quite a contrast for Mr. and Mrs. Bowser as they made their home In LaJolla Beach. California. Calif-ornia. Mr. and Mrs. Bowser, parents par-ents of Mrs. Robb, were Joined by the Robbs as they continued their travels Eastward to Denver, Den-ver, Colorado, to visit with another an-other daughter and son-in-law, Captain and Mrs. Charles Lane and girls. The travelers will return re-turn home the last of the week. I Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Lunt entertained en-tertained at dinner on Monday for the office associates of Mr. Lunt Dinner was served to Mr. and Mrs. Kent Stapley, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwin Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Chatterley, Mr. and Mrs. El-vln El-vln Seely, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Urle, Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Bunnell, Bun-nell, Mr. and Mrs. John Qulnn and special guests formerly employed em-ployed by this Columbia Steel Office, Mr. and Mrs. Collin Smith of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Morgan of San Francisco. Coming from San Francisco for the holiday season were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Morgan (Barbara) (Bar-bara) and daughter. Kathy. Joining Join-ing the family on Christmas day were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pace of Salt Lake City. Later In the week. Mrs. John Walnwrlght (Carol) came from her Salt Lake City home. Mr. Walnwrlght will Join the family for the greeting of the new year. Celebrating Christmas together at Milt's Stage Stop was a bridge club and partners.
