Show Cedar City Matron Dies, Services Set Mrs. Julia May Carroll Chamberlain, Cham-berlain, 82, a resident of Cedar City for the past 41 years, died Tuesday morning of causes incident inci-dent to age. ' Mrs. Chamberlain was born on May 1, 1877, in Heber City, Utah, a daughter of Charles Negus and Kezta Giles Carroll. She married Howard Chamberlain on Oct. 8, 1K97 in the Salt Lake L D S Tern-pie. Tern-pie. They lived in Orderville and Kanab before moving to Cedar City, and Mrs. Chamberlain had been active in church affairs in all three communities. Mr And Mrs. Chamberlain came to Cedar City 41 years ago. Mr. Chamberlain preceded his wife in death. Survivors include three daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Fernard (Annie) Esp-lin, Esp-lin, Orderville; Mrs. Leo (Irene) Palmer, and Mrs. Wallace (Genevieve) (Gen-evieve) Macfarlane, Cedar City, 18 grandgchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Lovina Heaton, Mrs. Amy C. Staker, Orderville, and Mrs. Amelia Heaton, Hurricane. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. In the Second Sec-ond Ward chapel. Friends may call at the Jensen Mortuary Wednesday Wed-nesday from 7 to 8:30 p. m. and Thursday from 11 a. m. until time for the services. Burial will be in the Cedar City cemetery. |
