Show Local Resident Enjoys Thrill of Private Flying Flying, an innovation of recent re-cent vintage, can be a fascinating fascinat-ing pastime and provide many hours of enjoyment. If you don't believe that ask Guy C. Tucker, Cedar City coal mine operator, who in the past year has taken up private flying. Mr. Tucker, who celebrated his 60th birthday on Dec. 22 of this year, has become an avid fan of aviation and although he has just recently acquired his private pri-vate pilot's licese, he already owns his own aircraft, a Cessna 171. Mr. Tucker has developed his interest in flying over the past year, while under the influence of his son, Floyd, also an avid flying fan, who got him started. Since that time he hag made many, many enjoyable cross country trips, and on occasion, when time will permit, enjoys just sight seeing in our own southern Utah area. He has made cross-coutry trips to Helena, Mont, and Colorado where he has visited with his daughters and their families; he has flown to Las Vegas, Nev., and Salt Lake City many times and has enjoyed the development develop-ment and sights at Page, Ariz, via the air. His . Cessna 171 has brought many hours of enjoyment to Mr. Tucker now in his 60th year in age, but his childhood in the air, and he indicates that he is looking forward to many more hours at this newly acquired pastime.
