Show Miss Alberta Evans Becomes Bride In Temple Ceremonies In a wedding ceremony which was performed Tuesday morning In the St George Temple Jene O. Kartchner claimed Miss Alberta Evans as his bride. President Harold S. Snow officiated In the rites in the presence of members of the bride's family. The bride is a daughter of W Leonard Evans of Parowan and the parents of the bridegroom are Mrs. Adlee Kartchner of Salt Lake City and K. C. Kartchner of Phoenix, Ariz. The bridegroom has been residing In Salt Lake City where he is an Instructor in the Morningside Elementary School of Granite District The newlyweds were honored Tuesday evening at a wedding reception In th. Parowan First-Second First-Second Ward (.creation hall. To meet the guests the bride wore a gown of white chantllly lace and tulle over satin. Scalloped lace, edging a set-in yoke, and long pointed sleeves accented the moulded bodice. An over-skirt over-skirt of scalloped lace extended to a short train in back. Her fingertip veil ot sheer illusion illu-sion was held in plae by a bandeau ban-deau of seed pearls and she carried car-ried a bouquet of red roses and stephonitis. The bride's attendents were a cousin. Miss Marjean Gibson, as maid of honor; Mrs. Homer Adams and Mrs. Ivan Jones were attending matrons. Petite Jackie Marie Evans, niece of the bride was flower girl. Receiving guests was Mrs. Ora Hofheins, a sister of the bride. Standing as best man for his brother was Kenner Kartchner, and ushers were Bernell Evans, brothel of the bride, George Williams Wil-liams and Leon Pr.rry The reception consisted of an entertaining program with Or-land Or-land Evans, brother of the bride, as master of ceremonies, followed follow-ed by refreshments and dancing. The bride is a graduate of the Parowan High School and has served as deputy Iron County clerk for several years. She has also been active In affairs of the LDS Church. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Snowflake Union Un-ion High School, attended Eastern East-ern Arizona College at Thatcher, Utah State University and the Brigham Young University. He also spent three years in the U. S. Navy during World War II and spent some time on construction work In Alaska.
