Show KAIIARBAVILLE Bf Hannah DarU One week before Christmas holidays, our boys and girls of the Kanarra Elementary School were very busy working on the necessary last minute details for their ChrUtmas program. The theme of this year's program was "A Little of the Old and the New." The program was present-ed present-ed on Monday, Oec. 21 at the school auditorium with a large: crowd in attendance and all en-Joyed en-Joyed It very much. Much credit is due to . our teachers Robert Stratton and AJenna Williams for the wonderful work they are doing with' our youngsters at school. Mrs. Venona Esplin's Sunday School class held their Christmas party at the Church t- Friday evening, Dec. 19. They served hamburgers and hot chocolate. On Sunday evening the MIA gave its Christmas program with are MIA young people taking part. On Wednesday evening the Primary Association held its Christmas party. Nuts and candy was passed out to all children. On Christmas Eve Santa Claus visited all the children about town. Christmas here was observed very quietly with a dance in the evening at the school auditorium auditor-ium with Cllve Hartman's orchestra orches-tra furnishing the music. There was a good crowd and everyone enjoyed it very much. Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Zohner and son Kewirt were vUitors in Las Vegas with his mother, Ferl Zohner and sister Sharon. Alice Pollock and daughter Vaughan Isom have returned home after a visit in Las Vegas and California with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Tlatt of Reno, Nev., visited here with his mother Mlaa Piatt. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hoover and daughter Evelyn spent a week In Salt Lake City with relatives. Amanda Williams returned home Saturday after spending a week In North Las Vepas with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Perry O. Williams. Mrs. Williams has enjoyed visits from several of her children and grandchildren, grandchil-dren, Mr. and Mrs. Peery O. Williams Wil-liams and girls of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Williams of Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Nel-don Nel-don Williams and family of Salt Lake City. Earl Smith is spending his Christmas vacation In Salt Lake City with his daughter and family. fam-ily. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Malm. Ruth Piatt spent Christmas here with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lylo Piatt from Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Reeves of Cedar City called on relatives In Kanarra Christmas Eve to wish them a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Miss Ina Roundy of Salt Lake City spent Christmas here with her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Ence. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Williams have gone to Bunkervllle, Nev., where they have employment Mr. and Mrs. Kent Davis and daughter Belinda of Rlverton, Wyo. are here for the holidays and visiting with their parents. |
