Show Last Rites Accorded Eva Adams in Parowan Funeral services for Miss Eva Adams, who passed away at the home of her sister last Sunday evening in Susanvllle, Calif, were held in the Parowan First-Second First-Second Ward chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. Elder Bruce Matheson of the First Ward bishopric conducted the services and Barbara Jane Bayles was at the organ for prelude and postlude music. Speakers were Albert Holt, a nephew, of Enterprise; Mrs. Edna Ed-na S. Hatch and Bishop Harley W. Dalton with brief remarks by Elder Matheson. The opening prayer was by Ancll J. Adams, the benediction was by Stanley Adams, a nephew, Enterprise, and the grave in the Parowan City cemetery was dedicated by Norman Adams, also a nephew. The musical program consisted of the opening and closing songs, "Abide With Me" and "Now the Day Is Over," respectively by a mixed chorus consisting of President Pres-ident Howard Knight, Clair Rowley, Row-ley, Harold Mitchell, Reed Orton, Bertrude and Alice Mitchell. Shirley Evans and Frankle Lou Bentley, accompanied by Mary Lyman; a vocal solo, "In the Garden," Gar-den," by Howard Holt, accompanied accompan-ied by Mrs. Holt, and a ladies double trio from the Parowan Literary Club of which the deceased de-ceased was a member, sang" My Testimony." This group consisted of Alice and Bertrude Mitchell, Eihel Bayles, Margaret . Knight, Edna Brown and Jeanette Bayles, with Barbara Jane Bayles accompanying. |
