Show Carla Harrison Becomes Bride In June Ritual Carlyle Blair Mitchell claimed Miss Carla Lynn Harrison as his bride Friday lna cermony performed per-formed in the St. George LDS Temple. President Rudger C. At-kin At-kin officiated during the June 19th double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter o' Mr. and Mrs. H. Karl Harrison. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Carlyle Mitchell, Cedar City. Friday evening a reception honored the couple at the home of bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mm .riv P-adshaw. The bride wore her wedding gown of Imported lace over satin for the occasion. The traditional full-length full-length dress featured an empire waist, lilly point sleeves and a boat shaped neck-line. The neck line dropped to a V-shape in the back and attracted attention to a double chapel train. A tiara, studded with mock jewels caught an elbow length veil of French Illusion. The bridal boquet was a cascade style centred with a deep purple orchid and gamelia buds. A handkerchief with white and orchid tatted edges was affixed in the bouquet. The lovely han-kercheif han-kercheif was a hand made gift from Christy Bradshaw. Bridesmaids attending the bride were Charlotte Carter, Francie Orton, Kris Forsyth, Jo-Neal Jo-Neal Biadshaw, Michelle Duerk- girls were Carla Jo Mitchell and Joan Leonard. In harmony with a light and dark orchid color theme the attendants wore dresses of brocaded satin in a light orchid. The semi-full skirts: were hemmed to knee length. ' Each attendant wore a veil of ' net matching her dress. They carried nosegays of fuchsia colored col-ored glamelias and white poms. Robert Hall and Don A. Mathe-son Mathe-son stood together as the bride-1 groom's best men. Ushers were Roy Perry, Ralph Lamoreaux, Richard Grimshaw, Grant and Byron Harrison, Bud Green and Alan Stones. Greeting guests with the new-lyweds, new-lyweds, in addition to the attendants, at-tendants, were their parents. Mother of the bride wore a mauve colored dress with a j silver metallic thread adding interest. Her corsage was designed de-signed from pink and white glamelias. The bridegroom's mother mo-ther wore a two-piece pink dress with matching corsage. Hostess for the nutial affair was Mrs. Stanley Bradshaw. Guest book attendants were Susan Su-san Crton and JoLyn Harrison. During the evening Mrs. J. L. Perry furnished background music mu-sic at the organ. Gift room attendants were Linda Lin-da Green, Pat and Mary Lee Harrison. Har-rison. Punch bowl attendant was Mrs. Virginia Leonard. Eight girls helped with the serving, Ar-lene Ar-lene Ferry, Sally Bird, Jill Leonard, Leon-ard, Marilyn Jensen, Jenine Hen-rle, Hen-rle, Dixie Hair, Trudy Dobson and Lynette Green. Catering the wedding recep- tion was Mrs. Reed Cox. Kitchen hostesses were Mrs. Robert Brad thaw and daughter Terry, Mrs. H. Endsley, Mrs. M. A. Cowley, Mrs. Ross Harrison, Mrs. Melvin Hunter and Miss Zola Magleby. Gift bearers were JoAnne Perry, Per-ry, Rodney Perry and Mark Green. Prior to departing for a honeymoon honey-moon trip to northern Utah, the bride changed from her wedding gown to a two-piece dress with F Thebride Is a Cedar High School graduate and is employed with the telephone company. The bridegroom is also n graduate of Cedar High Schooi and is a junior the College of Southern Utah. He is currently employed at Cardon's Shoe Store. Pre-nuptial parties w?re given by Linda Green, Mrs. D. A. Stones and by Charlotte and Rea Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell are making mak-ing their home In Cedar City. |
