Show CITY MANAGER REPORT Building Construction Up; Golf Course. City Airport Move Ahead Major construction and building build-ing ln the Cedar City area is going go-ing along at a good pace, it was reported this week by City Manager Man-ager Max Wood. According to Wood seven new dwellings are currently underway under-way ln Cedar City, two apart- ment units have received building build-ing permits and are now under construction and a new motel is slated to begin contraction within with-in the next two weeka on South Main Street Other Inquiries have been made and additional building is contemplated throughout the summer months, he said. He also reported that weather permitting, at least three holes of the Municipal Golf Course will be planted within the next two weeks with the remaining six holes scheduled for planting in the fall. Fairways on a portion of the course are now ready for planting plant-ing and final preparation of tee and greens on that portion of the course to be maintained from water from the city's culinary system will be planted as soon as possible, he sild. In addition construction of a water pumping station near the Cedar Canyon bridge across Coal Creek Is now being prepared. Water from that station will be filtered and pumped to the storage stor-age pond to be located on the south end of the golf course. From this pond a portion of the course will be watered through a pressure system.
