Show ASC Committee Election Results Announced Results of recent elections for county and city committees of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation committee were announced today by Alma Lawrence, office manager for the Iron County ASC. Elected to serve as chairman of the County ASC committee was Norman J. Crlmshaw, Enoch. Vice president to serve with him will be Earl Bunn, Parowan, with Bruno Biasl, Escalante Valley, to ktrve as committee member. First alternate will be Cressel Sherratt, Cedar City and second alternate L. David Love, Escalante Escal-ante Valley. This new committee will assume as-sume Its obligations on Jan. 1, 1958, Lawrence stated. Three community committees were also named. Community A representing Parowan, Summit and Paragon-ah Paragon-ah elected Grayson Gurr as chairman. Vice chairman Is Ray Adams and member Is D Robinson. Robin-son. First and second altet nates are Carl Evans and Warren A. Dalton. respectively. Community B representing the communities of Cedar City, Ka-narraville, Ka-narraville, Enoch and Lunt named nam-ed Richard H. Leigh as chairman. Leonard Ashdown will serve as vice chairman with Dick Nelson completing the committee. Flist and second alternates are Ivor Jones and Jack Pace. Austin Moyle was elected as chairman of Community C which represents the communities of Newcastle, Beryl and Modena. Elected as vice president was Charles Hart, Jr., and committee member is Norman Laub. First alternate is Arnold Barlockrr with Nlelse Nlelson named second sec-ond alternate. Community committees assumed assum-ed their respective duties at the time of the election. Committees are responsible for the county administration of Agricultural Ag-ricultural Conservation progra.n, price support programs, and the soil bank program, Lawrence pointed out. |
