Show T V Committee Beports Slow Progress The newly organized Iron Coun. ly Television Committee has been working hard to re-establish television service In the county since It was disrupted about two weeks ago, and considerable con-siderable progress has been made. However, efforts are being continued to improve the signal, particularly channel 5 from Salt Lake City. The other two channels. chan-nels. 4 and 2, have been coming In reasonably well the past few days. In order to improve channel 5 signal equipment Is being Installed In-stalled on the so called Beaver Tiill and It is expected that a better bet-ter picture can be expeced by the end of the week. Experiments will then continue to determine the best method for provldlti;; a permanent and constant service lor the area. Haze Hunter, chairman of the committee, however, points out that considerable expense Is being be-ing Incurred In the project and the support of television set owners Is needed. The committee had asked that each set owner contribute at least $10 to the committee to help pay expenses until a permanent program on "be developed, but the response has not been very encouraging. The committee again appeals to set owners to forward their contributions con-tributions to he Iron Couny Television Tele-vision Committee, P. O. Box 1245, Cedar City. - |
