Show Dids and Sons Night Sponsored by PTA L. C. MILES. Principal Wednesday night the Cedar City Junior High School Parent-Teacher Parent-Teacher Association sponsored a "dads and sons" night at the school. Games were enjoyed between father and son until 8:30 when they all returned to the auditorium auditor-ium for an educational film on "growing up" The movie mirror-, cd the life of a young adolesc-! ent as he grew from childhood to manhood. Dr. Reed Farnswrth explained more fully some v the ma1or points of Interest u 1 led thej group in n very enthusiastic discussion dis-cussion on tne topic. By unamimous vote the group j went on record as favoring a similar movie and discussion every year, one for our "dads and sons" and another for the I "moms and daughters." ' After the movie the group went 1 back to their games and fun and before leaving the officers of the PTA topped off the evening with a sumptuous plate dinner, which was very much enjoyed by well over 300 boys and dads. ! Mrs. Ruth Seegmlller is president presi-dent of the Junior High PTA and helping here in the affair were Helen Crawford, vice president and general chairman; Dewey Olson. Ol-son. Arna Tason and Vlvi.-n Knell; room mother chairman, Mrs. Mary Matheson, Mrs. G!on. nis Orton and Mrs. Llnford Or-ton. Or-ton. Teachers lending valuable assistance as-sistance were Lavell Chamberlain Chamber-lain in charge of games, and Ravnold Hanzen In charge of the music. |
