Show Late Mailers Harris Pest Olflce Personnel Cedar City Postmaster Rulon Wood cautioned that putting off mailing Christmas cards and parcels par-cels until the last moment results re-sults in an extremely heavy bur den being placed on postal employees em-ployees and postal facilities and slows up the processing of mall. "There are still some people who retain the mistaken Idea that a gift or card airlvlnj? on Christmas Eve has a special slrr- niflcance,'' the postmaster no'ed.! However, Wood pointed out. a specis' delivery of Chrir.t-j Chrir.t-j mas gifts will be made on Christmas Eve and to facilitate 'service even more the postal do-1 do-1 partment will make a delivery of late arrival mall on Christmns Day. Also for the benefit of local citizens the post office windows will be opened Saturday after, noon from 2 to 4 to accommodate late mailers, Wood stated. "By following such simple suggestions as mailing as early as poEsible, wrapping carefully, plainly printing the addresses and return addresses and using zone numbers, thj citizens of Cedar Ce-dar City will be assured of a safe and timely arrival of thoir Christmas mail," the postmaster j concluded. |
