Show Funeral Services Mark Passing Of Mary B. Heyborne i""11 1,1,1 ", '. . i.L MART B. HEYBORNE Mary Agnes Batty Heyborne, 78, long-time resident of Cedar Ciiy. died Tuesday following an illness of about two weeks. She had suffered an attack of pneu-; pneu-; monia about two weeks ago but , was apparently recovering when she succumbed to a heart at-' at-' tack. Mrs. Heyborne for many years ; was an active worker in the lie-, lie-, lief Society organizations of Ce- dar City, and was always on hand to lend assistance and con-; con-; dolences to families when be-. be-. reavement came to them. Seldom was there a death and funeral ' over many years when she was I not present at the home and services. She served as a Relief Society : teacher for 38 years, was on the ; Kent! society quilt committee for 25 years, on the refreshment committee for 13 years, and was ; a member of the'Cedar City "Old Folks' committee for a period of 14 years, until her husband died in 1931. ' She was born In Toquerville on April 28, 1879, a daughter of ; Mathew and Martha Willis Bat- ty, and made here home there until marrying Charles II. Hoy. borne of Cedar City on June 26, l. 1902, after which she moved to Cedar City and had lived here since except for six years when they made their home in Twin : Falls, Idaho. They were mar-' mar-' rled In Toquerville and the mar. riage was later solemnized In the St. George Temple. She Is survived by one daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Lulu Rollo, Cedar City, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. great-grandchildren. Also surviving Is one brother. Clarence Batty, ol Canada, and the following sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Annie Williamson. Par-agonah; Par-agonah; Mrs. Marguerite Duffin Rupert, Idaho; Mrs. Gwendolyn Savage, Nyssa. Ore., and Mrs Lavlna Redd, Chlloquln, Ore. Funefal services are beiiif held in the Third Ward chipc this afternoon, Thursday, ant burial will be In the Cedar Cltj cemetery. |
