Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE By Norma C rUtenien It seemed good to get a little rain finally. We had a nice show, er Monday night. We shouldn't complain too much about the drouth, because it Is still better to be dry than to be flooded out. Mr. and Mrs. -Frank Baldwin drover to Alton last week to visit Mr. Baldwin's mother and to take care of their home and prop erty over there. Mrs. Naida Gardner and son Neal, and Mrs. Shlela Shrum and Infant son Lee, all of Cedar City visited at the home of their mother mo-ther and Grandmother, Mrs. Geneva Ge-neva Gillies last week. This week, another daughter of Geneva's, Ge-neva's, Mrs. Hop Kibee and two daughters of Everest, Wash., are visiting in New Castle. They all visited in Cedar City Monday at the home of Naida Gardner. Mr. and Mrs, George Jolley and two daughters, Gloria and LaNl-ta, LaNl-ta, were In New Castle over the week end checking on their home and watering their yard. They are living In Kingston during the summer. James Tullis Is gone with the National Guard for two weeks summer camp at Camp Williams. Wil-liams. James is a son of Sterling and Mildred Tullis. Their daughter daugh-ter Cleo, and baby son, of Logan, Lo-gan, are here for the duration of the Guard camp while her husband, hus-band, Blaine Applegate is also attending. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Christen-sen Christen-sen and Beverly and Stephen, traveled to St George and Leeds last week, and visited at the home of Catherine's folks, Mr. and Mrs. David Sterling of Leeds. Mr. and Mrs. Amos Terry of Enterprise were visitors at the home of Robert Piatt Mrs. Minnie Dalley and daughter daugh-ter Mary Beth of Summit, and I Mrs. Maude Strate of Cedar City, were visitors this past week at the home of their folks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet Mr. and Mrs. Parley Deem of Lakewood, Calif., stopped at the home of their daughter and her family, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, enroute to their home. They had spent the past two weeks in northern Utah at the homes of their daughters and relatives. Mrs. Nita Rae Hulet visited her mother, Mrs. Leonard Reber in Cedar City this week. Mrs. Reber is attending summer classes clas-ses at CSV. Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Tullis and part of their family, are staying at the Scott Tullis home for-awhile until Jerome finishes the home he is working on. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt and family visited Sunday evening in New Harmony at the home of Bea's father, .ames L. Prince, and with other relatives. Mr.and Mrs. Woodrow Wagner Wag-ner of St Louis, Mo., visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nor man Hulet last week. Mr. Wag-ne: Wag-ne: is attending school in . St.. Louis and they are going to spend the summer in Las Vegas, Nev. Mrs. Wagner is a sister of Nita Rae. I Dick Jones, Boyd Chrlstensen, Gordon Knell and Chester Behr-ing, Behr-ing, members of the board of directors di-rectors of the New Castle Reservoir Res-ervoir Company, traveled to Salt Lake City Tuesday for meetings to take care of some reservoir business. |
