Show I PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES I Mrs. Bilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Alice Jones and daughter Claudia traveled to Beaver one evening last week to attend a ' bridal shower for Miss Karen . Hutchings. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Topham and four youngsters of Redding, Calif., arrived here Saturday to spend a few days with Doyle's , mother, Mrs. Bertha Topham, and , other relatives. , Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund arrived ar-rived home on Monday. Mrs. Lund has been in Lander, Wyo., , for more than two weeks with i the Victor Smith family. Wilson t traveled to Salt Lake City to i meet her and they returned to , Paragonah together. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph E. Barton Bar-ton enjoyed visits from family I members the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Mosdell were ' with them for Sunday and the Dallen Williams family visited with them Monday. The visitors were all from Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Robinson and family and Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bauer all of Cedar City were Sunday visitors at the Calvin Robinson home. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards and family of Cedar City spent Saturday here with the Chester Robinsons. On , Monday Mrs. Robinson spent the day in Cedar City with the Edwards family. Miss Linda Rae Dalton reports a very enjoyable trip on the Colorado Col-orado River and various place of interest. Tuere were 14 member in the group she traveled with and they saw many interesting things. They entered the river at the Crossing of the Fathers, traveled trav-eled by kyack to different canyons, can-yons, camped out at night, hiked hik-ed to Rainbow Bridge, visited Glen Canyon Dam and had a very fine time. The George A. Topham family had a fine Father's Day outing at Five Mile Sunday evening and enjoyed a picnic dinner and games. Present in addition to Mr. and Mrs. Topham were Mr. I and Mrs. Kenneth K. Topham and Lynn Kay, Mr. and Mrs. Fred 'Topham and members of their family from Parowan, and the Waldo Topham. McLean Simklns and Lyman Dodge families of Cedar Ce-dar City. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Top-ham Top-ham traveled to Panguitch Saturday Sa-turday for a pre-Father's Day visit with Pauline's father, Jo-seph Jo-seph Miller. Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones were In Parowan Sunday for a birthday celebration for their grandson. Danny Stones. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and three small children left for Layton Monday after visiting here for a week. Mr .and Mrs. L. W. Fluckiger of Gadd, Nevada, visited here one day last week with the David Dalton family. Mrs. Fluckiger and Mrs. Dalton are sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Golding of Richfield visited here Wednesday Wednes-day of last week with Mrs. Gold-ing's Gold-ing's sister, Mrs. Anna Williamson William-son and the William Williamson family. Mrs. Anna Gnung was here from Salt Lake City f or tht week end with the T. A. Robinsons. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson observed their 53rd wedding anniversary Saturday. Lee Arlen Topham has been in Salt Lake City for the past few weeks visiting with his brother Joe and family. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Topham enjoyed a two-day vacation trip to Las Vegas last week. Mrs. Miriam Anderson enjoyed a trip to Provo from Wednesday to Saturday. She visited with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff Allen and also al-so another sister, Mrs. Harold Ray of Prineville, Oregon and her daughter Miss Naty Alice Ray of Riverton, Utah who were In Provo for a visit Mr. and Mrs. Clark Lamoreaux and members of their family enjoyed en-joyed a trip north last week from Thursday to Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Davenport accompanied accom-panied them as far as Payson and will spend the summer with various, family, members. Friday evening the travelers attended the graduation exercises for Holy Cross Hospital nurses at the Cathedral of the Madelaine in ! Lake City. The Davenports' Daven-ports' granddaughter, Miss Linda Lin-da Montague, was a member of the graduating class. The Lamoreaux family visited with the Kay Hansens" in Salt Lake, the Victor Robinsons In Og-den, Og-den, the Ray Lamoreauxs in Reams and the Montague family in Payson. Kirk and Monte Smith of Mont-pelier, Mont-pelier, Idaho, have returned home after visiting here with the Boyd Robinson family. Miss La Rae Lamoreaux returned return-ed home with nor folks Sunday following a visit to Montpelier, Idaho, with the Cal Smith fam-iy. fam-iy. Miss Sana Rae Robinson has gone to Zion canyon to work for the Utah Parks Co. Her mother, Mrs. Mary Robinson took her to the Canyon Friday. Lt. Arnold Mellor and his wife and three small children of Lincoln, Lin-coln, Nebraska, arrived here Saturday Sa-turday for a week's visit with Anna's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orson Tabot. It is the Talbot's first chance to become acquainted acquaint-ed with the youngest Mellor children, fifteen month old twins. Mr. and Mrs. Orson Talbot had quite a shock last week when they received word that their son Neil was in the hospital in Vernal. Vern-al. Apparently it was Just a reaction re-action from shots for tick fever and he was released from the hospital Sunday. Mrs. Tanison Bingham, daughter daugh-ter Mary Ann and son Jimmy of Anderson, California, arrived cejHMaMsaajsssssaiiBaBBBBH here a week ago to visit with Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Edwards until the end of the month. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Robinson entertained at a family gathering gather-ing Friday evening of last week in honor of Wayne Mortensen, who has just returned from a mission to Canada. Forty-five relatives re-latives were together for a picnic pic-nic supper at the Robinson home and afterward all went to the meeting house basement where Wayne showed slides of his stay in Canada and his friend Kenneth Ken-neth Punnacles played a variety of numbers on the piano. Included in the group were Mr. and Mrs. Bart Mortensen, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bentley of Parowan, Paro-wan, Mrs. Zella Shramm and two children of Salt Lake City, Mrs. Lila Bulloch and members of her family, the Norman Rom-bergers Rom-bergers and Mitchell and Randy Robinson of Cedar City, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Line of Menlo Park, California; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux and Mrs. Laura Bur-ton Bur-ton and children. Mr. and Mrs. Levere Hoops and family members of Salt Lake City Ci-ty visited with the David Dalton's Tuesday of last week. Young Lorl Webster of Cedar City was a guest at the David Dalton home from Wednesday td Saturday of last week. |
