Show NEWS OF ACTIVITIES IN SUMMIT By Donna Davenport Mr. and Mrs. Ronald J. Dalley of Cedar City and most of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Dalley, and Jane and Bobby of Helena, Mont, and Marilyn and family of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Ada Carpenter Car-penter n .d son Jerry of Cedar City and son Ronald, home on leave from West Point and his friend of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Brlnghurst and three of their five children and Mr. and Mrs. Dick Urle and four children of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Twltchell and three children of Salt Lake City, and Mr. and Mrs. John Dalley and son of Orem, all visited here Sunday and attended Sacrament meeting where Rex and John were asked to speak along with high councilman Raymond L. Farrow and President George D. Grlmshaw. The Ladles of the Birthday Club met at the home of Mrs. Jeanine Dalton Monday where a most enjoyable evening was spent sewing and visiting and where delicious refreshments were served. Mrs. Lois Farrow assisted as-sisted Mrs. Dalton. Honored guests having birthdays In June were Helen Matheson, La Rue White, Sylvia Stapley, Anna Dalley Dal-ley and Ruth Dalley. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet traveled to Salt Lake City Saturday Sat-urday for an overnight stay and to meet their granddaughter, Christine Mlckelson of Powell, Wyo. and bring here back here for a visit. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Mlckelson. Mlck-elson. Miss Myra Richards returned home last week after a three weeks visit in Lander, Wyoming, with her uncle Victor Smith and family. Mr. and Mrs. Van Davis of Richfield brought their daughters daugh-ters Laurie and Janice over on Wednesday of last week for a few days stay here with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley, while Mm. Davis went to Salt Lake City to attend the MIA conference. The Davis's returned re-turned here Sunday to get the girls. Sheral Davenport accompanied her aunt, Mrs. Carol Davi3 down from Salt Lake City after a two weeks flay In Boise, Idaho with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Storey and family, who brought her back to Utah Thursday Thurs-day when they came to attend conference. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hartshorn and sons Paul and Barry of Cal-exlco, Cal-exlco, Calif., stopped here Friday Fri-day for a couple of days' stay with Zina's father, Merl Radford, Rad-ford, before going on to American Ameri-can Fork to visit with members of Robert's family. Mr. Hartshorn Harts-horn leave soon for Ohio to attend at-tend school where he is working for his doctor's degree in library li-brary science. Zina and the boys will come back here to spend the summer. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence and children, Keith, Steven, Elaine and Terrl, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Lawrence, Mrs. Lois Farrow and Shirley, and Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Lawrence traveled to Tooele on Saturday to attend a Reunion of the Lawrence family. fam-ily. Shirley remained for a two week's stay In Hunter with her sister and family, the Conley Adams' Mrs. Wilford Lawrence will also spend a few days in Hunter visiting a daughter, Mrs. Norton James and family. She will then go to Kaysvllle to visit for a time with another daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Max Rees and family before returning home. The A. T. Lawrences are visiting with a daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Hayes in Kearns. Mrs. Mary Dalley and son Mark are home again after spending a week in Provo, where Mrs. Dalley attended Leadership week. A small nephew of Mrs. Dalley, Kenneth Dalton, accompanied accom-panied them back here for a visit vis-it Mrs. La Von Underwood of Gar-dena, Gar-dena, Calif and Mrs. Edith Williams Wil-liams of North Hollywood, Calif, visited here last week with their uncles, A. T. and Wilford Lawrence Law-rence and the latter's family. They were on their way to Provo to attend Leadership Week and they also attended the Lawrence Law-rence family reunion in Toole. Week end visitors at the home of Mrs. Hulda Peterson was a niece, Barbara Barton of Salt Lake City, a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Williamson of Las Vegas, Nev. and Mr. and Mrs. John Wlttwer also of Las Vegas. Mrs. Jeanette Bayles of Paro-wan Paro-wan visited at the home of her brother, Bertrand Dalley Sunday. Ir. and Mrs. John Jones have a little granddaughter from Salt Lake City staying with them. |
