Show Beautif ication Day Announced at College Beautification Day at College of Southern Utah will be Thursday, Thurs-day, May 7, according to Stan Sorensen, Ordervllle, chairman of I the event. Suggested projects include in-clude erection of a new flagpole to be completed by "B" Day so that a flag given to the College by Senator Moss as a special memento from Washington, D. C, can be raised on that day. Other activity will include construction con-struction of a bulletin board between be-tween the Student Center and Old Main; work on the desert between Old Main and the Ad-1 ministration Building; completion comple-tion of outdoor classrooms; new paths to connect outdoor classrooms; class-rooms; placement of culverts and grading around Ponderosa Village; Vil-lage; construction of a patio fence and repair of patio at management man-agement home; new walkway east of sculture laboratory; repainting re-painting of signs on campus; general clean-up and repair of all campus and dormitory areas. Mr. Sorenson said that another project under consideration is the creation of a campus symbol on the hillside east of the city. As In former years, faculty and staff members will join with I students in completing "B" Day projects. For the past two years the work has been accomplished on a regular school day, with participants working between classes. |
