Many Groups Back Smoking And Health Lecture "During the past week a meeting meet-ing was held at which representatives represen-tatives of various community groups supporting the forthcoming forthcom-ing 'Smoking and Health" lecture lec-ture were present. The purpose of the meeting was to coordinate (efforts and make assignments to promote the lecture. Among the organizations represented were: Southern Utah Foundation, Cedar Ce-dar City Coordinating Council, Youth Council, Cedar City High and Junior High School, Iron County Cancer Society, and Juvenile Ju-venile Court. The lecture featuring Dr. Walter Wal-ter J. Burdette will be held at the new high school auditorium on Saturday, May 2nd at 8 p. m. Dr. Rurdctte, who is now serving as head of the Division of Surgery Sur-gery at the Unhcrsity of Utah Medical College, was one of the ten member panel who spent the past year studying the problem of Smoking and Health under the sponsorship of the U. S. Public Health Service. He will speak on the subject, "Smoking Contemporary Contem-porary Dllema." A short time at the end of the lecture will permit per-mit questions from the audience to be discussed by Dr. Burdette.
