May 25, 1964 for all live and recently dead (sound sapwood) timber marked or designated for cutting on an area of approximately 2,178 acres in the Strawberry Creek drainage, drain-age, Township 38 and 39 South, Range 7 West; Townships 38 and 39 South, Range 8 West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian, Dixie National Forest, estimated to contain live and recently dead (sound sapwood) sawtimber as follows: 1,500 M bd. ft. of Pon-derosa Pon-derosa pine; 3,250 M bd. ft. of White fir; 1,350 M bd. ft of Douglas Doug-las fir; and 450 M bd. ft of En-gelmann En-gelmann spruce, more or less. As a qualification for oral bid ding each bidder must submit a sealed bid to the Forest Supervisor Supervis-or prior to 10:00 a. m., May 25. 1961. A certified check, cashier s check, bank draft, or money order, or-der, payable to the Forest Service, Serv-ice, I'SDA, in the amount of $1,-000.00 $1,-000.00 must accompany each sealed bid to be applied on the purchase price, refunded or retained re-tained in whole or in part as actual or liquidated damages according ac-cording to the provisions of the hid. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and posted at the Forest Supervisor's office at 10:00 a. m., May 25, 196-1. All those who submitted sub-mitted a satisfactory sealed bid will be permitted to continue auction bidding. If an oral bid is declared to be high at the closing of the auction, the bidder must confirm the oral bid by submitting it In writing on a Forest Service bid form. The high bid will be determined on the basis of required volumes to be cut at bid rates. The right to reject any and all bids Is reserved.
