Show George H. Durhams Honored at Golden Wedding Mr. and Mrs. George H. Dur-ham Dur-ham of Salt Lake City, former residents of Parowan, were honored hon-ored Wednesday evening at an informal open house on the oc-casion oc-casion of their golden wedding anniversary. The open house was held at the Lion House Social Center from 8 to 10 p. m. Both of these people were born and raised in Parowan and spent much of their early lives here, but have madg their home in Salt Lake City since about 1920. Mr. Durham has been a music instructor all of his life but has now retired and Mrs. Durham has acted as the hostess at the Lion House Social Center for the past 18 years and since 1953 has been Its manager. Mr. Durham was born here on Sept. 12, 1883 a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Durham, and is a brother of Wilford Durham, Met-ta Met-ta D. Robinson and Sarah D. Con-nell, Con-nell, of this city. Mrs. Durham was born here Oct. 11, 1888, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lucius N. Mars-den. Mars-den. She Is a sister of Wm. Mars-den, Mars-den, Parowan, artd Nelson Mars-den Mars-den of Cedar City. They are the parents of five living children. They are Dr. G. Homer Durham, Wilby M. Durham, Dur-ham, Dr. Lowell M. Durham, Wayne C. Durham and Mrs. Joyce D. Larson, all of Salt Lake City. |
