Show r Reception Honors Popular Cedar City Couple Cedar LDS Stake House was the setting on Friday, June 5 for the reception of Miss Sandra Wood and Gary Leonard Smitu. The couple were married the same day in the St. George LDS Temple in an Impressive double-ring double-ring ceremony. Parents of the newlyweds are Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard J. Smith, all of Cedar City. For the occasion, the bride was attired in a floor-length gown of white embroidered sink organza. organ-za. Styled with a bell skirt caught to a ball in the front, the lovely gown had a Sabrina neckline. neck-line. A veil of silk illusion was caught to a tiara of pearls and sequins, and she carried a bouquet bou-quet of pink roses and white orchids. or-chids. Attendants to the bride were Mrs. Ken Griener, Miss Kay Ash-croft, Ash-croft, Miss Betsy Lunt, Miss Linda Lin-da Moncur and Mrs. Kay Jolley, a sister of the bride, as matron of honor. Junior bridesmaid was Alene Wood, also a sister of the bride. Flower girls were petite Teresa Ann Jolley and Cynthia Wood. Attendants wore matching gowns of nylon organdy with balloon skirts and sweetheart necklines, matching the crlor scheme of the evening, rose pink and nile green. They carried bouquets bou-quets of gladious rings. Standing as best man for his brother was Michael Smith. Ushers Ush-ers were Don Bulloch, Robert Seegmlller and Lee Wood. Hostesses for the reception were Or a Smith and Mrs. Ernest Branson. Attending the guest book was Mrs. John Wood. Serving were Mrs. Robert Seegmlller, Seeg-mlller, Judy Corry, Lyona Cox and Laura Marie Moncur. . -Assisting In the gift room was Mrs. Scott Bulloch. Mrs. Dave Perry and Georg Ann Braegger. Both bride and bridegroom are graduates of Cedar City High School and College of Southern Utah. The new Mrs. Smith was active as a cheerleader in high school and wis also state secretary for the Future Homemakers of America. Amer-ica. She has always been active In dance circles. While attending the University of Utah she became be-came affiliated with the Lambda Delta Sigma. Mr. Smith In addition to Ms school has served a four year Force Including an overseas assignment as-signment at Labrador. While at CSU he was affiliated with the Lambda Delta Slema and was a member of the CSU opera cast. The popular couple are making a home In Cedar City for the summer months and they Intend to enter school at Utah State University Uni-versity at Logan In the fall. Mrs. Smith Is a ma lor In home economics econ-omics and Mr. Smith Is studying In the field, of electrical engineering. |
