Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received re-ceived by the State Road Commission Com-mission of Utah, Room 608, State Office Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, until 2 o'clock p. m. Tuesday, Tues-day, April 6, 1963, and at that time publicly opened for construction con-struction of Landscaping in Iron County, the same being that sec tion of Interstate Highway No. 15 from the Washington-Iron County Coun-ty Line toward Hamilton Fort, identified as Federal Aid Project No. 1 15-2(1343. The length of road to be constructed con-structed -or Improved is 9.541 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows: fol-lows: 218 acres of Grass Seeding and 236 Acres of Cleanup and Weed Control. The project is to be completed com-pleted on August 31, 1966 (See Special Provision). Prequaliflcation of bidders Is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving re-ceiving plans and specifications, it will he necessary that the bidder bid-der have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed com-pleted and approved, the requir-e requir-e d Prequaliflcation Statement pertaining to contractor's experience exper-ience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is dl- rciieu iu iin Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning i the contract. In conformity with Section 115 of the Federal Aid Highway Act of 1956 the U. S. Department of Labor has certified the wage rates for this project which are the minimum wages to be paid on this project. These rates are made a part of the contract doc urrents. The attention of bidders is directed di-rected to the fact that this Commission Com-mission has been advised by the Wae and Hour Division, U. S. Department of Labor, that contractors con-tractors engaged in highway construction con-struction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938, (52 Stat 1060). Proposal forms, plans, cross sections and specifications are on file in the office of the State Road Commission, Salt Lake City, and the office of its District Engineer En-gineer at Cedar City, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective pros-pective bidders. Specifications, proposal forms, and plans may be obtained at the Commission Offices at Salt Lake City, upon application and payment of a fee of S5.00, no part of which will be refunded. Each bidder must submit sub-mit a letter from an approved surety company guaranteeing to furnish said bidder with required bond. The right to reject any or all bids Is reserved. Cash, certified check, cashier's check, or approved proposal guarantee bond for not less than five per cent of total amount of bid made payable to the State Road Commission must accompany accom-pany each bid as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder bid-der will execute the contract and furnish contract bond as required. re-quired.
