Show BP W Club Enjoys "Springtime Salute" j Miss Karla Hulet, president of the Cedar City Business and Professional Pro-fessional women's Club greeted members and guests at the special spec-ial dinner meeting held at Sullivan's Sul-livan's Cate. To celebrate "Springtime Salute to Women Week" a special program was carried out. Miss Virginia Done, who was accompanied by Miss Caroline Roper, sang two songs Heaven for Little Girls" and "I enjoy Being a Girl". A panel composed of Mrs. Alta Johnson, Mrs. Inez Cooper, Mrs. Hael Urie, and Miss Deanna Evans and moderator Mrs. Ada Carpenter Carpen-ter discussed "Women of Today Changes and Challenges". The discussion centered around Changes Chan-ges in Business, Family Relations, Rela-tions, Education and Preparedness Prepared-ness for the changing role of wo-, wo-, men. Other activities carried out to call attention to this Special Week were a radio interview with Mrs. Cartherine Crichton, a Proclamation issued by Mayor in a delightful manner, "Thank Gardner recognizing the Working Women, and several special window win-dow displays in Main Street businesses. bus-inesses. Mrs. Ethel Loft and Mrs. Ais Shumate were responsible for artistic and colorful table decorations decor-ations of flowers and candles. President Hulet announced that the District Spring Conference Confer-ence will be held in Panguif'h, Saturday evening April 3, at 7 p. m. She also called attention to the dates for the state convention con-vention to be held at Vernal May 14-15 at which time one of our members, Miss Jerry Koakes, will be a candidate for recording secretary. |
