Show Services Held Here For Former Resident Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar First Ward Chapel Cha-pel Saturday noon, March 14, for William Stewart Thorley, 84, native na-tive of Cedar City who died Wednesday, Wed-nesday, March 10, in Ogden of causes incident to age. Burial was in the Cedar City cemetery. The services were conducted by Bishop F. Kllen Rollo of the First Ward. Speakers were John M. Brown, Charles R. Hunter and Harry H. Lunt. Invocation was by Dwayne Matheson, benediction by Max Thorley, dedication of the grave by Wayne Thompson, and family prayer prior to the services by Randolph Grlmshaw. The musical program Included a vocal duet, "Oh, My Father" by Howard and Orma Wood; a vocal duet. "Springtime in The Rockies" by George GrimsHow and Elwin Armstrong, end a laJ!s' trio, "Not Now, But In the Coming Years," by Marian Ashdown, Barbara Bar-bara Maxwell and Delra Lee. Mr. Thorley was born In Cedar Ce-dar City on May 18, 1889, a son of Al and Mary Ann Stewart Thorley, and married Mary Williams Wil-liams on June 5, 1913 in the St. George Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survivors include his widow, two daughters and three sons, Claudia Thompson, Ogden; Richard Rich-ard W. Thorley, Ferron W. Thor- ' ley, Douglas W. Thorley, arid Colleen HoyaL all of California. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, grandchil-dren, 4 great-grandchildren and three sisters, Ann, Jane and Irene. |
