Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Clark and children of Henderson, Nev., arrived here on Sunday for a two week vacation They are visiting at the Howard Jones home. Charles and Vernon Berrle, young sons of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Ilcrrie of Salt Lake City, have been visiting here with their rranliiKith(r, Mrs. I'.ortha S. Top-ham. Top-ham. Mrs. Iras Jones and son Tom were home from Panguitch from Saturday to Tuesday. Mrs. Jones' mother. Mrs. Eva Hell, is still quite ill, although somewhat improved, im-proved, and needs constant attention at-tention from her family. Iras returned re-turned to Paragonah to be here when her son Dale and his wife arrived from Idaho Falls for a short visit. Dale came to Utah for his pre-induction examination and visited here for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Deven-port Deven-port and children and Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Davenport came home art Saturday after a week's vacation vaca-tion trip. They enjoyea their trip through Yellowstone Park and a night's stay at Jackson Hole, Wyo. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Martin Robinson at Idaho Falls and with the Legrande Robb and Charles Wood families in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bertha Topham traveled to St. George on Saturday to at-' at-' tend the wedding of her sister, Mrs. Lois Bryant of Cedar City, who spoke vows with Mr. Tracy Blood in a temple ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Hullinger of Salt Lake City were present at the wedding also and spent some time in Paragonah following the trip to St. George for a longer visit with Mrs. Topham. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bauer of Cedar City visited here on Sunday Sun-day with Ruby's folks, the Calvin Cal-vin Robinson family. Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Thornton were here from Salt Lake City last week end for a visit with Gerry's people, the Earl Thornton Thorn-ton family. Mrs. Catherine Dunton Is quite ill at her home here. She is suffering suf-fering front flu and a severe , throat infection. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Robb and their small daughter of Yakima,, Wash., visited here on Monday, with the Ivan Robb family. They were also visiting other relatives in the vicinity. Mrs. Eva Beard of Milford andj Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Stones of j Salt Lake City are visiting here, and in Pa rowan with members of their family. Monday evening a large group of relatives gathered at the Five Mile in Parowan Canyon Can-yon for a picnic party. Present in addition to the visitors were the Homer Adams family and Mrs. Isa Prothero of Parowan, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Stones of Paragonah and members of their family from Cedar City. Mrs. Mary Robinson and her daughter, Sandra, returned home on Sunday after a 10-day stay at Vernal and vicinity where they visited relatives and attended at-tended a family reunion. Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Jones and their small son left town last week after being members of our community for a little more than a year. Mr. Jones developed some trouble In his hands and was advised by his physician to change his occupation. Thoy have gone to St. George where he has employment. J. Lowe Barton was In the hospital hos-pital again from early Friday until Sunday afternoon. Edwin Williamson enjoyed another an-other week end visit from hfs son Glenn and family of Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nevada. William T. Davenport returned home on Saturday after spending spend-ing most of the week visiting family members In the northern part of the state. Mrs. Davenport remained there for a longer visit ...(11 l-ntlirn 1. it Pi- Mr. and Mrs. Marlon Engle-stead Engle-stead arrived here on Thursday of last week following the close of the St. George Temple. They will spend much of the summer here with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones. Mrs. Mary Prothero observed her 8Gth birthday on Monday, July 11. Among them were Mrs. Martha Dalton and her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Arvilla Halterman and Mrs. Vera Decker of Parowan. Mrs. Sarah D. Robinson entertained enter-tained the members of her club at her home on Wednesday evening eve-ning of last week. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham reports the arrival of another ,Tandchild, a little boy born in the Fillmore hospital July 5 to Doyle and rearl Topham. This makes two boys as well as two girls in the family. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Prothero and Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux traveled trav-eled to Ponderosa Park In Beaver Bea-ver Canyon on Sunday afternoon to attend the annual meeting and picnic of the southern Utah groups of A. A. A large group wes present from all the nearby communities and from as far away as Moab, St. George and Kanab. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lund of Salt Lake City were In Paragonah Paragon-ah for a couple of days last week attending to business matters. Duane Lamoreaux traveled to Las Vegas and Mercury, Nev., last week on an unsuccessful trip in search of employment. Milton Robinson, son of Mrs. Mabel Robinson of Salt Lake City, Ci-ty, arrived in town on Wednesday Wednes-day last for a two week visit with the James II. Anderson f i-mily i-mily and other relatives here. Mrs. Yvonne Low and her five, children and Mrs. Mariam Limb: and three of her youngsters spent Tuesday in Paragonah visiting j with their parents, the James H. Andersons. Mrs. Chester Robinson was somewhat concerned last week at hearing that her mother, Mrs. Nora Lamoreaux, was in the hospital hos-pital in Missoula, Mont, with a serious ear and mastoid Infection. Infec-tion. Mr. and Mrs. Lamoreaux were visiting there with their daughter, Mrs. Nina Hamilton and her family. |
