Show Gordon Moyle Makes Bid for County Commissioner ESCALANTE VALLEY: Gordon Moyle, who has served fop several sever-al years as president of the Escalante Es-calante Valley Electric Association, Associa-tion, an REA Cooperative which supplies power to the farms and homes of the Escalante Valley, has announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the position of County Commissioner. Commis-sioner. Moyle came to the Escalante Valley as a child with his parents par-ents Maud Austin Moyle, and the late Parley Moyle, and he grew up there in the days wnere mere were no schools, no irrigation wells, virtually no roads, and very few people, and he has played an important role in developing de-veloping the thriving aricultural community which exists there today. He worked actively to bring the Escalante Valley Electric Elec-tric Association into being, having hav-ing served as the organization's first manager, and having been elected to several terms in the position po-sition he now holds as President of the association. Moyle has served as a member mem-ber of the Iron County SCS and PMA committee, and is Pre sident of the Escalante Valley Coordinating Coordin-ating Council, and is surrently a member of the Iron County Water and Power Board, In addition to being a successful farmer and businessman. |
