Show ENOCH AND MIDVALLEY NEWS Mr. and Mrs. Norman Grim-shaw Grim-shaw spent a few days in Logan attending school. Mr. and Mrs. Oleen Hatch and children of Fillmore visited at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw and family. They came to hear her brother Arlen Grimshaw report his mission. He has just completed complet-ed his mission and returned home. The descendants of John Pid-ding Pid-ding Jones met in a reunion last Saturday in the Enoch ward chapel. cha-pel. There were 175 people in attendance In addition to people from Cedar City, Parowan, Summit, Sum-mit, Enterprise, St. George and Enoch. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Grimshaw and family, and Mrs. Grace Smith from Bountiful; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Wardell, Timmie Warden, Lettle Anderson, Edna Croft, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Erickson from Wyoming; Wy-oming; Mr. and Mrs. John Davenport Dav-enport from Springville; Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jones from California, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Jones and grandchildren from Spokane, Wash, The Enoch Ward Relief Society sold lunch to those who stayed for both meetings. Orlen Sherratt and Florene Richardson are going to be married mar-ried on July 26 in the St. Georje L D S Temple, it was announced by Miss Richardson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elton Richardson. They will be honored at a reception recep-tion In the Enoch recreation hall on Aug. 1. O.len Is a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Sher.-att. Following Follow-ing the wedding they plan to make their home in Midvalley. Arlen Grimshaw, a returned missionary, was our speaker at church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Kirkpatrlck and family of Covlna, Calif., visited vis-ited with Mrs. KlrkDatrlck's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Murie. There was a large crowd in attendance at the reception in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Christensen Saturday evening In the ward chapel. Mrs. Christensen Christen-sen Is the former Barbara Mae Grimshaw. A program was held and dancing was enjoyed. The couple were married on Friday, July 11 in the St. George L D S Temple. Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan Christensen, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Hales from Aurora and Mrs. Allen Al-len Foster from Salina were at the reception. Mrs. Barbara Adams of Parowan Paro-wan has been visiting here for the past week with her daughters, daugh-ters, Mrs. Hunter Grimshaw and Mrs. Forrest Bryant and families. famil-ies. Dorothy Lemons Brown and husband and Freda Lemons Sisk and husband were visitors at the home of Willard Jones. Dorothy and Freda are former residents of Enoch. Mr. and Mrs. Lorin Jones and Lee Clark took the Explorers of the ward to California for a three-day vacation. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson and children spent the week end In Salt Lake City on a business and pleasure trip. Visitors at the Ted Nelson home this past week were Dr. and Mrs. John R. Hanks and Dr. and Mrs. Ross Mlckelson and their families from Manhattan, Kan. Also visltlnjr at the Nelson's were Mrs. Kendall Gurr of Paro-wan Paro-wan and Mrs. Dwayne Dalll, Delta. |
