Show NEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES By Hulda Peterson Last week the Primary classes devoted most of the time to stories and games after which teachers treated the children to a surprise Valentine luncheon. Jack Jones is here visiting with his father, John Jones, and family. fam-ily. Kenneth Lowe has returned home from a trip to Salt Lake City and California. Mr. and Mrs. Newell Mathe-son Mathe-son of Whitney, Nev., and Melvin Matheson, Henderson, Nev., visited visit-ed with Mrs. Hulda Peterson Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. Mrs. Peterson's Peter-son's son, Ivan E. Wittwer, and Mrs. Seralda Fernley of Milford, also visited with her. In addition addi-tion Mrs. Peterson was surprised Thursday by a visit from the members of the Relief Society, who spent the afternoon with her. The time was spent visiting, visit-ing, crocheting and doing needle work, after which luncheon was served. Many of the Summit Ward members attended Stake Conference Confer-ence In Parowan Saturday and Sunday. The Primary officers and teachers teach-ers met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Chamberlain Friday night for the regular monthly lesson meeting. The lesson was given by Mrs. Mary Lawrence, after which refreshments were served. Mrs. Ann Madsen has gone to California with her two daughters daugh-ters and son. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matheson have returned after spending the winter in California. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley spent Sunday in Richfield with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Von Davis and family. Mrs. Rebecca Smith of Parowan Paro-wan has been visiting with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bryant. Mrs. Jane Richards and Ilyrum Boardman of Parowan visited with Mr. and Mrs. Arden Richards Rich-ards one evening this week to celebrate their birthday anniversaries. anni-versaries. Dee White is one of the students stu-dents of the business department depart-ment of the College of Southern Utah who made a tour of Los Angeles business establishments this week. |
