Show Cedar City Livestock Association To Hold Annual Banquet Friday j Members of the Cedar Livestock Live-stock Association, livestock producers pro-ducers and individuals interested interest-ed in the industry will gather at the College of Southern Utah Friday afternoon, and at El Es-calante Es-calante Hotel Friday evening, Feb. 18 for the annual mid-winter meeting and banquet sponsored by the association. The business meeting will be held at the Bootstrap Theatre at C S U beginning at 2 p. m. Friday, with representatives of the Extension Service, Experiment Experi-ment Station, and the State Department De-partment of Agriculture, present to discuss various problems facing fac-ing the Industry. Among impoitant subjects to be discussed will be the new wool legislation, diseases and predatory animal control, Forrest Taylor, marketing specialist from the Extension Service, will be present to discuss the wool bill recently approved by Congress. A veterinarian from the service ser-vice will discuss "Vibriosis," a disease that has boon causing considerable loss in Utah sheep flocks. Predatory animal control will be discussed by a representative represen-tative of the Fish and Wildlife department. j The annual banquet will be held at El Escalante Hotel Friday Fri-day evening with the address of the evening being delivered by George Staples of Richfield. An excellent program of entertainment entertain-ment has also been arranged. Rulon Wod, secretary of the association, as-sociation, reports. Officers state that lamb will be the principal course served at the banquet, and they also warn all association members that If they don't "wear wool," the consequences may be rather Severe. |
