Show New Bishopric Takes Post in Cedar Fourth Ward The bishopric of the Cedar Fourth Ward was re-organized Sunday with LaNoir Jones sustained sus-tained as bishop to succeed Fern-leigh Fern-leigh Gardner, who was released after a number of years of excellent excel-lent service. Sustained as counselors to Bishop Jones were Eugene Palmer, Pal-mer, first, and Horace Hall, second sec-ond counselors. Mr. Palmer had served as second counselor to Bishop Gardner. Blaine Stapley, first counselor, was released with Bishop Gardner. Gard-ner. Eldon Schmutz, who had served as ward clerk under Bishop gardner, was re-appointed to that position. Bishop Jones, who has been active ac-tive in various auxiliary organizations organi-zations of the ward, was serving as president of the Elder's quorum quo-rum when his appointment as bishop was made. |
