Show CLUB AND PARTY MUTES By Mrs. Therol MacArthur Mrs. LaVerne Cope was hostess to the members of her club at a clever "Hobo" party at her' home recently. The special oc-i casion was the birthdays of Mrs. . Cope and Mrs. Noan Tollestrup. j Other members present were Lois Landaschoot, Lois Nelson, Ruby Webster, Eva Dean Milne, Donna LeSuer, Afton Hartman, Ora Smith, Gertrude McCaughey, and Carol Browning. The oniy member absent was Mrs. Beulah Stephens who Is visiting in New York. The Lohoaobey Club was en-1 tertained at a clever Halloween party at the home of Mrs. Leo Cahoon Wednesday evening. The guests came in costume to a lovely program and to play hilarious hilar-ious Hollowe'en games. The program pro-gram consisted of numbers from a girls trio consisting of the Misses Sharon Harris, Judy Corry, and Sydney Barrett. Mrs. Yvonne Bulloch was a special guest, and prizes were awarded to Mrs. Cleo Taylor and Bernbe McArthur. ! Mrs. Vircil Bird entertained the members of her bridge club at her home Wednesday evening. eve-ning. Special guest was Mrs. Chris Mason, Jr., and high scores were awarded to Mrs. Blaine Standifird and Mrs. Jean Bunting. Bunt-ing. The Chore Amie Club met Oct. 13 at the home of Mrs. Marian Hahne. Thep program was conducted con-ducted by Mrs. Clara Knell who showed her movies and slides of her trip through Wisconsin, the Dakotas and Yellowstone National Na-tional Park, and she reviewed the Passion Play presented in the Black Hills of South Dakota. On Oct. 20 the club met at the home of Mrs. Cora Porter with Nell Sargent in charge of the program which consisted of a book review given by Hazel Nelson, "Willa Cather," and a short report on the United Nations presented bv Edith ftokes in honor of U. N. Week. Mrs. LaNee Munson was a special guest to this meeting. Mrs. Edith Atkin was hostess Wednesday afternoon to a group of ladies of the Third Ward who got together to work on things, as a group, that they are planning plan-ning on making and selling at the stake bazaar Nov. 11. Nice refreshments closed the after- noon of sewing and companionship. companion-ship. Mrs. Leslie Pace was hostess to the members of the Belva Zlmn Club, and also in charge of the program for the evening, Thursday Thurs-day night at her home. Miss Joyce Benson showed her collection collec-tion of interesting slides taken on her trip through Mexico on the C S U sponsored tour. Twelve members were present and one guest, Miss Barbara Pace. Next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Homer Jones. Mrrs. Colleen Nelson entertained enter-tained the members of her club at her home Friday evening. Special Spe-cial guest was Mrs. Anna Gow-er. Gow-er. Pinochle prizes were awarded award-ed to Mrs. Utah Barrick, Mrs. Elva Benson and Mrs. Revenna Leigh. Miss Lola Lund was hostess to the members of her club Wednesday Wed-nesday evening. The evening was spent in sewing by the following members: Mrs. Mina Orton, Mrs. Mida Osborne, Mrs. LaVon Har rison, Mrs. lone Bradshaw, Mrs. Leola Bryant, Mrs. Deane Chamberlain. Cham-berlain. Mrs. Vera Hirschi, Mrs. Ada Palmer and a new member, Mrs. Hazel Urie. Mrs. Arta Standifird and Mrs. Mary MacDonald were co-hostesses at a birthday brunch Saturday Sat-urday morning at the MacDonald home in honor of Mrs. Barbara Paulson. Special guests to this lovely party were the mothers of Mrs. Palson and Mrs. Macdonald, Mrs. Harriet McKinstry and Mrs. Lillian Macfarlane. Guests bringing bring-ing birthday gifts to Barbara were Mrs. Irene Sevy.
