Show Handicraft Course In Progress at BAG Summer School A new course in handicraft for children got under way Monday afternoon at Branch Agricultural college under direction of Prof. C. B. Cooley, chairman of the division of industrial education. The course was set up to help those who teach young children learn easy-to-make projects that will interest their pupils. They will undertake making items using us-ing wood, leather and other common com-mon materials that would be low in cost and easy to work with. Balse woods, soft pines and the like will be used principally. Some students have registered for the course solely as a means of learning new hobbies or carrying carry-ing on old ones. Primarily, however, how-ever, the class is for those who teach in elementary schools, or who have groups of children to direct in L D S Primary organizations organi-zations or similar programs. The workshop ig open to anyone any-one interested. The class Is in session at the college shop Monday Mon-day through Friday from 1 to 4 p. m. |
