Show Cedar Lions Install New Officers At Meetina Monday The annual installation of officers of-ficers of the Cedar City Lions club was held at a dinner meeting meet-ing at the Cedar Breaks lodge Monday evening, with wives of the club members as guests for the occasion. M. A. Cowley, prominent local druggist, was installed as president presi-dent of the club for the coming year, taking over the gavel from C. B. Cooley, head of the building build-ing trades department of the Branch Agricultural college, who has served during the past 12 months. Other officers installed were Alex Angelo. first vice president; Reed Berrett, second vice presi dent; Haze Hunter, third vice president; Whitney Jensen, tail twister; Dr. A. L. Graff, Lion tamer; Morgan Slack and Browning Brown-ing Piatt, directors, and Grant Seegmlller, secretary. Holdover members of the board of directors direct-ors are Graham MacDonald and Clifton Chatterley. Outgoing officers, besides Mr. Cooley, are Eldro Rfdby, first vice president; Max Webb, sec-old sec-old vice president; Reed Roberts, third vice president; Ray LLid-quist LLid-quist and Gail Duncan, directors; Francis Frye, Lion tamer; Wilson Lunt tail twister, and" Eugene Hardy, secretary. Speakers at the Installation meeting were James Sargent of Panguitch, for many years one of the most active Lions of the district, and P. M. Bethers, retiring re-tiring district governor of 28-H, I Lions International. |
