Show Preparations Under Way for February Heart Fund Campaign Utah's 1953 Heart Fund drive chairman is Milton L. Weilen-mann Weilen-mann who will head the Heart Fund's annual campaign here during the drive month of Febru-ard Febru-ard according to an announcement announce-ment received today, from Dr. L. E. Viko, president of the Utah Heart association. Weilenmann is the assistant superintendent of the Salt Lake County General hospital; chairman chair-man of the Utah Democratic State committee; a member of the East Mill Creek Lions club; member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce; a graduate of the University of Utah; member of the V. F. W., and a reserve captain cap-tain in the Infantry; is married and has four children, and is very active in the L D S church, instructing at the East High school seminary. He has been a committee member of the Corn-munity Corn-munity Chest ind the Crusade for Freedom associations. Closely affiliated with the medical world through his administrative ad-ministrative position at the general gen-eral hospital, Mr. Weilenmann points out that "diseases of the heart and circulation are the leading causes of disability and death in the United States. Some 10,000,000 Americans suffer from these diseases . . . including 500,000 children. "We Utahns have realized our responsibility to the Heart Fund in the past," he said, "And I am confident that we will once again lend stron, support to the program of education, research and rehabilitation which the heart fund makes possible." |
