The bus in which the team was traveling, was reported to ' have broken down making it impossible for the players to get back to their home campus and then make the trip to Cedar City. The most serious seri-ous result of the cancelation, however, it that it leaves the team without any practice games before the race opens, and leaves the players inactive for two weeks. The first conference game will be played on Jan. 9. Coach Petty has released his players for the holidays, but will begin practice again on Jan. 2. The layoff may be damaging, but there was nothing much the coach could do about it. Just to hold practice drills for the full two weeks, particularly during the holiday season, may have had an even more damaging effect. ef-fect. The Broncos will meet the Carbon Car-bon Eagles in the first two games of the conference season, the games to be played in the BAC memorial fieldhouse on Friday Fri-day and Saturday nights, Jan. 9 and 10.
