Show Last Rites Are Held In Kanarraville For Mrs. Betsy Smith Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in Kanarraville on Sept. 26 for Mrs. Betsy J. Smith, 92 who died on Sept. 23. The services were conducted by Bishop Elton Stout, with L. J. Williams and Bishop Stout of Kanarraville and Samuel F. Leigh of Cedar City as speakers. Invocation was by Jay Banks of Salt Lake City, grandson of Mrs. Smith; benediction by Bishop Marion Prince of New Harmony, and the dedication of the grave by Junius F. Williams. The musical program included includ-ed a vocal selection, "Those Brave Pioneers", by a ladies' chorus, accompanied by Boyd Reeves; a musical reading, "The Rose Still Grown Bryond the Wall", by Opal Williams, accompanied ac-companied at the piano by Eth-na Eth-na Williams, and a vocal solo, "Coin' Home" try Margie Dur-rand, Dur-rand, accompanied by Mr. Reeves. Mrs. Smith Is survived by the following children :H Mrs. Kay Banks of Salt Lake City; Carl and Earl Smith and Mrs. Sophia Shields of Kanarraville. Also surviving sur-viving are six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. |
