Show I Parade, Football Game and Dance , To Highlight Home-coming at BflC I A colorful parade Friday afternoon, after-noon, a pep rally Thursday evening, eve-ning, and the football game between be-tween the Branch Agricultural college Broncos and the West-', West-', minster college Parsons with its , half-time activity Friday evening , will hjghlight the home-coming .celebration at the local college I this week. ! Activities will be climaxed following fol-lowing the game with a Home-crming Home-crming ball in the gyrnnasium. ', In charge of arrangements for ' the affair is Lt. Col. Oliver W. , Harris, head of the ROTC unit at r the school. According to plans completed so far, Ihe parade promises to be . one of the biggest and best seen in Cedar City, according to Jerry S'ncrratt, parade chairman. Twcn- ty-five floats have been entered in the event, in addition to two bands, which may be Increased to five by Friday afternoon. Both the BAC military band and the Cedar high school band will definitely be in the line of march. A definite commitment on the bands from high schools in Parowan, Beaver and St. George had not been received this morning. Invitations to participate in the parade have also been extended extend-ed to the sponsors cor at the I'tah State Agricultural college, University of Utah and Brigham Young university. The parade will start at 2:30 n. m. at 200 South Main street. The line of march will be north on Main street to the city park, where the parade will reverse direction and continue south to. Center street. j At the half-time during the game in the evening, the Homecoming Home-coming queen and her attendants will be presented, escorted on the field by the cadet drill team. An exhibition will also be given by the drill team. Furnishing the music at the dance following the game will be the Starllghters orchestra. The dance will be in the gymnasium on the campus. A floor show will also be featured fea-tured during the dance. Students at the college will take part in a pre-game pep rally, ral-ly, is set for Thursday night. |
