Show LDS Institute Head Returns From California School The Family Life Training Center Cen-ter conducted at the University of California this summer brought together 150 teachers and educational edu-cational administrators to receive instruction from a number of nationally na-tionally prominent educators. Problems of the modern family were considered with reference to its sociological and psychological psycholog-ical foundations including medical med-ical aspects, problems of youth and programs of instruction and counselling. This comparatively new emphasis in education is spreading as a result of radical changes in the American Family with resulting problems of sex, courtship, marriage and building happy American homes reports Gustive O. Larson, director of the Cedar LDS Institute of Religion, Re-ligion, who attended the conference. confer-ence. Director Larson, who combined combin-ed historical research with the Family Life Training lived at the , International House where he was Invited to speak to the 500 members representing every nationality, na-tionality, race, color and creed. Letters of appreciation came from both the manager and program pro-gram director of the International Internation-al House. Mr. Larson gave the closing talk of the training center social dinner at the conclusion of the summer session. He was invited to speak In LDS services at both Berkeley and Los Angeles An-geles where he stopped over for contact with the Huntington Library. Lib-rary.
