Show ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING TRAFFIC RULES FOR VEHICLES VE-HICLES UPON THE APPROACH OF FIRE ENGINES OR FIRE APPARATUS AND PARKING DISTANCE FROM FIRES, AND ENDANGERING PROPERTY BY NEGLIGENTLY OR WILLFULLY WILL-FULLY BUILDING FIRES IN CEDAR CITY, UTAH. Be It ordained by the City of Cedar City, Utah: Section 1. DISTANCE FROM FIRE APPARATUS. Upon the approach of any fire engine, hose car, hook and ladder lad-der truck or any other movable Fire Department appartus, drivers driv-ers of vehicles shall immediately immediate-ly turn to the right hand curb and come to a full stop, remaining remain-ing in such position until the last piece of Fire Department apparatus ap-paratus has passed Three Hundred Hun-dred (300) feet beyond said stand ing vehicle and no vehicle shall approach within Three Hundred Hun-dred (300) feet of said fire apparatus ap-paratus while going to or attending attend-ing any fire, or while on a practice prac-tice run or false alarm. Section 2. EXPOSING TREES, GRASS OR CROPS OR OTHER PROPERTY TO DANGER BY FIRE. Any person who negligently or wilfully exposes any growing trees, shrubs, brush, grass, , undergrowth un-dergrowth or crops, or any other property on lands, public or private, pri-vate, not his own property, to danger by fire is guilty of a misdemeanor. mis-demeanor. Section 3. OBSTRUCTING FIREMEN FIRE-MEN IN DISCHARGE OF DUTIES. Every person who at the burning burn-ing of any property or building disobeys the lawful orders of any public officer or fireman, or who obstructs or interferes with the lawful efforts of any fireman to extinguish the same, is guilty of a misdemeanor.' Section 4. PENALTY. Any person found guilty of violating any of the provisions of this ordinance is punishable by a fine in any sum less than $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail not exceeding six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment Section 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. It being deemed necessary by the City Council of Cedar City, Utah that this ordinance is necessary ne-cessary immediately for the public pub-lic safety of citizens of Cedar City, Utah, this ordinance shall take effect upon its publication.
