Show &10 Each Here are four Eli weeks snapshot winners THE FOURTH WEEK of The Salt Lake Tribune Snapshot Contest produced many entries, though not as many as the first week, and four more winners. This weeks winners will be awar led $10 and their photographs will be examined under the final judging at the end of the summer. Those winners will receive a $25 bonus and their photos will be sent to Rochester, N.Y. for a shot at the grand prize. The prize is offered by the Kodak International Newspaper Snapshot Awards (KINSA). THIS YEARS Grand Award for Best of Show is a d trip for two plus $1,000 spending money (or $10,000 cash). There will be one award only, either for color or 30-d- Around-The-Worl- black-and-whit- e. Other prizes include a trip to Europe, a trip to Mexico and a trip to the Caribbean. There are also cash prizes for special merit. Each year during the final judging of the KINSA contest, five photo experts look at more than 1,000 entries. You look at a picture and wish you were there All KINSA judges have seen a lot of pictures. But they can be knocked off their feet by a fresh viewpoint or an unusual angle. The criteria judges use are contrast, composition, lighting and quality. The judges are looking for something that catches the eye. They want to feel, taste, hear and touch the photo. Winners will be announced each Sunday for six more weeks. Because of deadlines, the last day entries will be accepted for the final weeks contest July 30.
