Roy Bardsley Salt Lake County, as a whole, is opposed to unification of city and county governments and services. However, City and county residents hold divergent views on the unification issue. Residents within city limits favor unification by a slender margin, while county voters are heavily opposed to consolidation. Here is a comparison of area views, as revealed by an exclusive survey sponsored by The Salt Lake Tribune and conducted by Bardsley & Haslacher, Inc., an independent and impartial re- - WANTED: Current results on unification parallel the pattern produced by the 1978 election when a 0 consolidation measure was defeated by a percent count.
