Show Lucille Matthews Parker Lucille Matthews Parker, 59, passed pass-ed away Tuesday, Feb. 27, 1990, at her home in Bountiful from cancer. She was bom Nov. 6. 1930, in Liberty, Ida. to Alonzo H. and Charlotte Hulme Matthews. She was the sixth of seven children. Two sisters, Myrle and Marian, preceded her in death. She married i for many years at Mrs. Cavanaughs Candies in Bountiful. She is survived by her husband, Bountiful; a son, Steven C. Parker, and wife Trudy of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; two daughters, Marianne (Annie) Ma bey and husband Michael, West Valley City, Charlotte K. Sherwood, Sher-wood, and husband Craig, Layton; and Wallace Benally, an Indian placement student of Shiprock, N.M.; two sisters, Ella Wheeler, More land, Idaho; Annie Hansen, West Valley City, two brothers, William R Matthews, Burley, Idaho; and Al Hulme Matthews of Green River, Wyo.; and nine grandchildren. She is also survived by two special nieces, Carol Udy of Farmington and Ruth Anne Hansen of West Valley City. Funeral services were held March 3 in the Bountiful Second Ward. Interment was in the Bloomington . Cemetery, Bloomington, Ida. Funeral directors, Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests re-quests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Parker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 11, 1953. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in the Primary for many years, as a Relief Society president, presi-dent, visiting teacher and counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency. She was also president of the Young Women's organization. She graduated from Brigham Young University in elementary edu-i edu-i cation and taught school in Mont- pclier, Idaho. She was also employed |
