I 5 , SCOTT ORME STEVE LUSTED Speakers explain therapy BOUNTIFULThe Western Institute In-stitute of Neuropsychiatry will present pre-sent the second in a series of lectures lec-tures related to mental health on March 8. Two speakers will be featured on Thursday night, giving presentations presenta-tions on "Therapy with Music" and "The Great Outdoors." Scott Orme holds a degree from Utah State University in music therapy and is currently the coordinator coor-dinator of "Escape to Reality," an experimental therapy program at the Western Institute. According to Orme, music is a natural and effective effec-tive therapeutic tool that can be used by all age groups. Additionally, Steve Lusted will describe the benefits of outdoor recreation and adventure trips. He states, "The best learning takes place when the mind and body are both involved with the experience." experi-ence." Lusted has been involved with adventure programming for special populations for more than ten years. He recently returned from a trip to Argentina, where he climbed to the top of Mt. Aconcagua, the tallest mountain in the Western Hemisphere. Lusted is a recreation therapist at the Western Institute. The presentation will be held at 425 Medical Drive, Suite 207, and will begin at 7 p.m. There will be no charge to the public. |
