Show Nurturing gifted is subject of Delta Kappa Gamma meeting Epsilon Chapter members of Delta Kappa Gamma assembled at the home of Artelle Rigtrup in Farmington, Far-mington, Feb. 26. The meeting was conducted by Paula Hyde, president. presi-dent. Theta State officers, Judy Jolley and Karen Rolley, were visitors at the meeting. 4 'Single Snowflakes," a poem written by Gamma Chapter member Val C. Wilcox, was the thought presented by Louise Stein. A report on activities and accomplishments of the recent Utah State Legislature was presented by Artelle Rigtrup, who represented the chapter at Women's State Legislative Council. Coun-cil. Heidi Hill, program chairman, presented Gail Bock, the speaker for the evening. Mrs. Bock is director direc-tor for the Davis District program for intellectually gifted children. Mrs. Bock is enthusiastic about creativity, problem solving, multiple mul-tiple talents and thinking skills taught to develop intelligent and gifted behavior. Intelligence and giftedness operate in real life situations situa-tions and are manifest in real-world contributions. There is a need to create opportunities for students to become creative producers andor self-direct selected learning. Refreshments were served to 27 by co-hostesses Marjorie Thatcher and Gloria Neil son. |
