Show Kaysville Chamber hears speech Diane Peterson. Nominations of people to serve on the board were Dr. Jerry Wilde, Arthur Whittaker, Doug Wood and Bruce Lloyd. President Larsen encouraged Kaysville businesses to clean up their windows and sweep the streets in front of their businesses so that Kaysville is clean and tidy. She urged business owners to support sup-port the Chamber's annual Christmas Christ-mas lighting contest. Three prizes will be awarded to the businessf that exhibit the best decoration,, By DONETA GATHERUM KAYSVILLE Captain Anderson from the U.S. Army Recruiting Re-cruiting Station in Salt Lake City was the guest speaker at the November meeting of the Kaysville Kaysvil-le Chamber of Commerce. He introduced in-troduced the recruiting department theme, "Freedom Isn't Free" by asking Chamber members what the difference is between a civilian and a soldier. "The soldier has the pride of their country and they represent their country," the army officer stated. "All civilians should exercise exer-cise this same pride and show re spect for their country. Some do and some don't." Captain Anderson claimed, "We as citizens have a moral obligation to our country. We all need goals and commitments . "He used Abraham Abra-ham Lincoln as an example of a great statesman who was dedicated to his country and fellowmen. He challenged Chamber members to become more dedicated to our country and to thank God for the tremendous freedoms we have.
