Show Many items considered City council keeps levy at 25 mills for year At the regular city council meeting Monday attended by Councilman Calvin Baxter, Leonard Leo-nard James, Kenneth Creer under un-der the direction of protem M. D. Peay with Mayor Packard and Councilman Child out of town and excused, the mill levy for Springville City was unanimously passed at 25 mills, which is the same as the 1968 levy. Bids for landscaping at the golf course club house were submitted as follows: Provo Landscaping $6,598.60; L. G Mitchell Landscaping $5,588.71; Mill Creek Gardens $9,817.00; Wasatch Shadows, Inc., $7,856; Councilman James recommended recommen-ded that the bids be checked by the architect and awarded later. Tom Averett met with the council concerning the Spring Creek run off in the west fields. The city is trying to get the Corps of Engineers or the state road to correct the problem. prob-lem. Councilman James made a motion with a second by Councilman Coun-cilman Baxter the city contract with Ralph Child to construct a bridge on the golf course at a cost of $2,500.00. Passed unanimously. Councilman Baxter made a motion with a second by Councilman Coun-cilman Creer the mayor pro tern M. D. Peay and city recorder, re-corder, Verl S. Dallin be authorized au-thorized to sign a quit claim deed to Mary Ellen Alleman to clear title conflict between their adjoining properties. This motion passed unanimously. Councilman James made a motion with a second by Councilman Coun-cilman Creer the city award the construction of landscaping at the golf course club house to Superior Asphalt with the bid price of $33,1770.44. This motion mo-tion passed unanimously. |
