Show Regulations listed by Boy Scout office for district jamboree Effective as of December 15, the Utah National Parks Council, Coun-cil, Boy Scouts of America is making all district jamboree space not used available on a first come basis for any boy approved by his district jamboree jam-boree selection committee according ac-cording to Floyd Loveridge, Scout Executive. Originally it was planned to protect the district quotas until un-til March, however, with the national organization requiring names of boys to participate and their first jamboree fee deposit de-posit due at the Regional office in January, it became necessary neces-sary to release district quotas as of December 15, Mr. Loveridge Lov-eridge stated. Scouts and Explorers desiring! to participate in the jamboree should contact their district chairman, district commissioner, commission-er, or district Scout executive immediately about signing up. The Utah National Parks Council will send 288 boys and 24 adult leaders to the seventh National Jamboree of the Boy the local Scouts attending the jamboree will be from July 12 to 23, 1969. The group will travel from Provo to Salt Lake by bus, then by air to Seattle with three nights and days of sightseeing in the Seattle area. While there a trip will be taken ta-ken to Victoria, British Columbia. Colum-bia. From Seattle the contingent contin-gent will travel by air to Spokane Spo-kane and then from Spokane to the jamboree site by bus. The return trip to Salt Lake City will be by air and to Provo Pro-vo by bus. Boy Scouts must have attained at-tained the age of 12 on or before be-fore September 21, 1968. Explorers Ex-plorers who have not been Scouts must be registered on or before July 1, 1968. Boy Scouts and Explorers must have achieved Star rank on or before April 1, 1969. All participants must be physically fit, exemplify the Scout Oath and Law, be proficient pro-ficient in camp craft, demonstrate demon-strate leadership ability, and Scouts of America to be held at Farragut, Idaho, next July. As of today, 215 of the 288 places are filled in the Utah National Parks Council contingent. contin-gent. The other space is expected ex-pected to fill shortly.
