Show Kathy Huff wins district contest in 'Make It with Wool' event Interpreting fashion to suit individaul personality; learning learn-ing to combine color, form, pattern and texture for that final effect that is right for the wearer, won top prize for Kathy Huff. Miss Huff was one of four seamstresses taking first in the 21st annual Make It Yourself Your-self With Wool fashion review sponsored by the Woolgrowers Auxiliary of District 11 and held last Saturday evening in Provo. Kathy, ( who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Huff, was winner in the junior division. di-vision. She will join the senior winner, Vickie Lee Stubbs of Provo, to represent the dis- r . --i . I ' ' trict at the annual state competition com-petition January 8, in Salt Lake City in conjunction with the Utah Woolgrowers Convention. Conven-tion. Kathy's outfit was kelly green, all-wool, two-piece suit. The skirt is gathered onto a wide waist band. The short jacket has deep cut lapels and two pockets. It is completely lined. The suit is worn with a white blouse. Mrs. J. R. Sayer, president of the Central Utah Woolgrowers Auxiliary, sponsors of the contest, con-test, welcomed the guests, and introduced Mrs. Sterling Er- coats and ensembles. The girls represented Provo, Springville, Orem, Payson, Spanish Fork and Santaquin. Mrs. Lee Jarvis was the director, di-rector, and she was assisted by Mrs. Donald Ludlow and Mrs. Merrill Backstrom, Mrs. John Bleggi and Mrs. Lewis Bleggi. Mrs. Ronald Ludlow was the commentator. Appropriate music mu-sic was furnished by Mrs. Blair Beckstrom. Mrs. James W. Webster gave modeling instructions instruc-tions to the girls. Judging was done by Mrs. Grant Jensen of Spanish Fork, Mrs. Phillip Knight of Provo. and Mrs. Jon Clark of Provo. Other valuable prizes of wool lengths, sewing kits, sewing aids and fashion books were presented to outstanding costumes. canbrack who gave an informative informa-tive talk on wool. Nine girls in the Junior Division, Di-vision, ages 14 through 16, and 15 girls in the Senior Division, ages 16 through 21, modeled garments they had fashioned.
