Show i Husband, wife receive high MIA awards at rites Sunday evening A 1 f J In a special presentation which has probably never been done here before, Rita Sumsion, widow of Michael Sumsion, received re-ceived her husband's Master M Men Award along with her Golden Gleaner Award Sunday evening. Presenting the award in a touching ceremony, was former British Mission president of Michael's, Grant Thorn. The presentation was made in the sacrament meeting of the Third Ward. Mrs. Sumsion, the mother of two children, and Mr. Sumsion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard C Sumsion, were acting as Young Married leaders in the ward at the time of the accident. Mr. Sumsion had previously served a mission for the church in England En-gland and also served as elder's el-der's president in the ward. ' Mrs. Sumsion is presently serving as Primary chorister, has taught in Sunday School and Primary and was sports director di-rector in the MIA. |
