M 1 LeRoy Curtis, for whom services ser-vices were held Wednesday Funeral services held here for LeRoy Curtis, 79 Funeral services were conducted con-ducted Wednesday in the Second-Eighth Ward Chapel under the direction of Bishop William Ruff of the Eighth Ward for LeRoy Curtis, 79, who died December 15, 1968 at the Pay-son Pay-son Hospital. Burial was in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery under the direction of Wheeler Mortuary., Mr Curtis, a retired mechanic mechan-ic and service station owner, was born September 3, 1889 in Springville, the son of William and Annie Barney Curtis. He married Mary Davis on May 15, 1915, and she died in 1948. He married Ella Llewellyn Llew-ellyn Crandall on June 17, 1948 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. Curtis was a member of the LDS Church. He worked for some years as a mechanic,, then owned and operated his own service station in Spanish Fork. Surviving are his widow of Springville, a sister, Mrs. Florence Flor-ence Wakefield, Murray; two step children, Floyd W. Crandall Cran-dall of Wilmington, Del.; and Mrs. Helen Spafford of Springville; Spring-ville; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The Texas Highway Department Depart-ment invests $1 million annually annu-ally towards research in traffic traf-fic safety. |
